How Paris Mountain's Water Helped Greenville Grow

Interpretive Ranger Cathy Taylor will present a program at 1 p.m. called "How Paris Mountain's Water Helped Greenville Grow." It's the 1880s and a growing Greenville needs a water supply. Fortunately, Greenville has the water coming down through the forests of Paris Mountain. Join this interactive walk around Lake Placid, tracking Paris Mountain's history from Greenville's source of drinking water to a CCC built state park.

This is a program created for eighth-grade classes, converted to a 4th Saturday program for history seekers of all ages. The program costs $5 per person, payable at the Park Center instead of admission. Meet at Park Center. Registration is required.
