Nominate yourself or a friend for a position on the Paris Mt. S. P. Friends Board:

We are always on the lookout for new board members, and will accept nominations throughout the year. We vote on new members at the end of the year and announce them at our annual meeting.

The Board of Directors works directly with the staff of Paris Mountain State Park (PMSP) and the SC State Park Service to support the mission of PMSP.

The non-profit Paris Mountain State Park Friends have been the reason why:

  • new trails have been built,
  • over 4000 Greenville County school children have been served by our nature programs,
  • there is an increase in campground use,
  • the 265 acres with lake were donated by the Greenville Water System,
  • the historic bathhouse was renovated into the new Park Center,
the staff has a new John Deere "Gator",
  • the beautiful and informative wayside signs are installed throughout the park,
  • renovations to Camp Buckhorn will begin at the end of 2009,
  • the park is thriving today!

Here's your opportunity to play an active role in Paris Mountain State Park. The board meets once a month, except for a break during the summer.

Board members are asked to chair a committee of their choosing, such as: Trails, Education, Grant Writing, Hospitality, Land Conservation or Public Relations Committee.

The board is looking for people who are energetic about the park. Board members serve a three year term and may be officers for 1-2 year terms.

If you'd like to be part of a legacy, here is your chance. You'll love it.
